Bean Boots

It appears that L.L. Bean boots have become a staple at Elon for both girls and boys during the colder seasons. Bean boots have been around for a long time, but have recently become more popular in the south. The company was started in Maine in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean, and has been very popular in the northeast region of the Unites States ever since then.

I have the gor-tex/thinsulate version of bean boots (which makes them waterproof) because it snows a lot where I am from in New Jersey. So my bean boots always keep my feet warm.

Bean boots come in many different styles and variations, however i have noticed the classic version is the most popular choice among the students here at Elon.

Puffer Vests

Quilted vests are a great way to stay warm at the chilly time during Elon. My favorite kind of quilted vest, is the "Excursion quilted down vest," that I have in nude, and black from. J.Crew, they also come in different colors and patterns, that can be seen on their website.

Since the beginning of my time here at Elon, and while in high school, the quilted vest trend has been very popular among my peers, and is a great extra layer to add on in the fall and winter when it is cold outside.

Pictures is the quilted vest in black from jcrew.com. J.Crew makes a version of this vest every year for the fall and winter seasons, since they have been so popular over the last several years!

Ankle Boots

Ankle boots or booties are becoming a hit at Elon! Especially since it has really not been cold enough to wear higher boots in North Carolina lately.

While I was home I purchased the cutest ankle boots from Steve Madden

They're the perfect color, and I can wear them anywhere. I wear them to class, and I wear them when I go out to dinner with my friends.

I am so obsessed with the Nyrvana boots!

New Fall Trend Spotted: Sweaters Over Dresses

Recently I have noticed a lot of people at Elon, even myself by accident just throwing a loose fitting sweater over a dress.

This seems to be a new trend happening at Elon among many of the girls here. It is a fashionable and comfortable look that is great for the Fall!

This look is a great way to layer and keep warm for the chilly fall weather!

You could even do it with a big sweater over a skirt if the weather is a little warmer, and it will still be the same kind of look.

Plaid Clothes and Riding Boots

These two are must-haves for the chilly Fall season that is just finally reaching Elon now in early November.

Sarah Vickers is one of my fashion icons. She has that classic New England style that a lot of girls here at Elon have, and she puts a little twist on it with her own great accessories.

I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times this summer in Nantucket, and she was always dressed in the cutest clothes. Since a lot of girls at Elon, including me are from up North, we strive to attain that classic New England style that Sarah Vickers always pulls of effortlessly.

Relaxed Clothes

Whenever people dress down at Elon, Lulu Lemon is the go-to place for relaxed and work-out clothes.

Lulu Lemon has the most comfortable leggings, tanks, sports bras, and sweatshirts, for working out or just being on the go.

Whenever I want to have a comfortable day, or I am working out later I always grab a pair of my Lulu Lemon leggings.

Brandy Melville Sun Dresses

Even though Fall has officially started, it is still pretty warm here at Elon.

One of the biggest trends I have noticed so far this semester at school is the cute Brandy Melville sundress that almost every girl (including me) here at Elon owns.

It's a cute and comfortable dress, that has an open back.

The dress still looks adorable to throw on a sweater over when it gets a little chilly.

The Jada dress is only $32, and comes in many different patterns.

Check it out on the Brandy Melville website.
