Bean Boots

It appears that L.L. Bean boots have become a staple at Elon for both girls and boys during the colder seasons. Bean boots have been around for a long time, but have recently become more popular in the south. The company was started in Maine in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean, and has been very popular in the northeast region of the Unites States ever since then.

I have the gor-tex/thinsulate version of bean boots (which makes them waterproof) because it snows a lot where I am from in New Jersey. So my bean boots always keep my feet warm.

Bean boots come in many different styles and variations, however i have noticed the classic version is the most popular choice among the students here at Elon.

Puffer Vests

Quilted vests are a great way to stay warm at the chilly time during Elon. My favorite kind of quilted vest, is the "Excursion quilted down vest," that I have in nude, and black from. J.Crew, they also come in different colors and patterns, that can be seen on their website.

Since the beginning of my time here at Elon, and while in high school, the quilted vest trend has been very popular among my peers, and is a great extra layer to add on in the fall and winter when it is cold outside.

Pictures is the quilted vest in black from jcrew.com. J.Crew makes a version of this vest every year for the fall and winter seasons, since they have been so popular over the last several years!
